Leading with Vision & Hope
With joy and humility, it has been a pleasure for Doctor LaPorte to take on the responsibility of being the new Senior Pastor of the Paradise Seventh-day Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pastor Manny has ministered within the Adventist Church for over 25 years and has additionally served as a Chaplain in the United States Army. He holds a Doctoral degree in Family Life, as well as a Master of Divinity, from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. He is a Certified Family Life Educator with the National Council on Family Relations and a Board-Certified Pastoral Counselor with the American Christian Counseling Association.
He has been married to his precious wife, Marian, for 30 years and they have one college aged son, Manny LaPorte, Jr. In addition to his pastoral duties, Dr. LaPorte also serves as the Family Ministries Director of the Nevada-Utah Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Pastor Manny has a passion for public evangelism and winning souls for Christ, and Paradise Seventh-Day Adventist Church is blessed to grow under his leadership.

Honoring Peter Neri: A Faithful Servant and Shepard
For 18 years, Senior Pastor Peter Neri faithfully led the Paradise Seventh-day Adventist Church with humility, wisdom, and a heart deeply rooted in service. His ministry has been marked by compassion, spiritual steadiness, and a genuine love for people—qualities that have shaped not only our congregation but also the wider Las Vegas community.
Throughout his time at Paradise, Pastor Neri guided members through life’s many seasons with prayerful care and grace. His leadership has encouraged growth in faith, unity among believers, and a stronger commitment to Christ’s mission. Whether preaching from the pulpit, visiting members in their homes, or quietly offering words of encouragement, he has reflected the character of Christ through his daily walk and ministry. As he stepped into retirement in October 2025, we celebrate the countless lives touched through his service and the enduring impact of his example.
